Adoption and Foster-Care Related Concerns

I have lived experience as an adoptive parent of both a biological and an adopted child. I work with all members of the adoption constellation/triad in adoptive and foster families in order to navigate complex identities, family situations and structures, address life transitions and adjustments, and help to facilitate appropriate expectations. Understanding the impact of early developmental stressors and/or attachment trauma, prenatal exposure to substances, and neurodivergence is crucial to your family or individual functioning. I am here to walk alongside families through this lifelong journey.

Adult Adoptees, Birth Families, and Members of the Adoption Constellation

For adult adoptees, the journey of self-discovery often involves complex layers of origin, identity, and attachment. I provide a safe space to explore these narratives.

I provide consultation and psychotherapy to Adult Adoptees, Birth Families, and any other members of the constellation, to process grief/loss, birth/abandonment trauma, late discovery adoptions, undocumented adoptions, roots tracing/search and reunion issues, and other adoption-related issues, to help them navigate the unique complexities of origin, belonging, and identity that arise from the adoption experience or being connected to it. I also work with those who have experienced misattributed parentage or unknown parentage.
